Vacancy Announcement: Training Superintendent

Location: Goulamina, Mali

Position: Training Superintendent

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual for the position of Training Superintendent at our Goulamina site in Mali. As the Training Superintendent, you will play a crucial role in developing, implementing, and managing our Training Management System to ensure that all employees and contractors meet the necessary training requirements aligned with their roles. Position Purpose:

The Training Superintendent is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the Training Management System and its associated requirements for LMSA employees, ensuring compliance with all business and legislative requirements. 

Key Responsibilities:

  - Implement, manage, and continuously improve systems for the management of training for the organization.

  - Audit regularly the Training and Assessment system to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

  - Ensure all Trainers and Assessors are qualified to International Standards.

  - Develop and maintain departmental training plans.

  - Manage relationships with site Heads of Departments and implement a communications calendar to keep customer departments informed about training activities.

 - Provide leadership to demonstrate Leo’s commitment to health and safety.

  - Promote safety awareness amongst team members.

  - Proactively identify and manage health and safety risks.

  - Personally adhere to all health and safety standards. 

Position Holder Requirements: 

- Tertiary Training Qualification (desirable).

- Certificate IV Workplace Trainer and Assessor or equivalent.

- Project management Qualification/Experience.

- 5+ years experience in Mining operations or heavy industry.

- 10+ years experience in Management of Training and Development.

- Advanced PC skills and computer literacy.

- Lead Auditor’s Certificate (desirable).

- Ability to lead and develop a small group of Training Professionals.

- Experience using InTuition (preferred) as a Super Administrator.

- Experience setting up an LMS system from scratch is beneficial.
