Are you ready to take on a challenging and rewarding role that contributes to operational excellence in the logistics sector? We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as a Senior Border Haulage Coordinator at the Malian / Cote d'Ivoire Border in the Kadiana Village area.

Position Overview:

As the Senior Border Haulage Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth transition of LMSA trucks passing across the border. You will collaborate closely with the Freight Forwarding Company to minimize delays for the Final Product trucks, thereby optimizing operational efficiency. Your leadership skills will be crucial in overseeing the Border Coordinators and providing guidance as needed. Additionally, you will establish effective communication channels between the border region and the site, fostering collaboration and synergy.

Key Responsibilities:

- Demonstrate consistent and visible leadership aligned with Leo’s objectives, fostering an organizational culture built on Leo’s values.

- Provide leadership in health and safety practices, ensuring compliance with standards and promoting safety awareness among team members.

- Support the Freight Forwarding Company in facilitating a smooth and efficient process for trucks crossing the border checkpoints.

- Coordinate with customs authorities to ensure all necessary paperwork and documentation are in place for border crossing.

- Maintain continual contact with the Transport Supervisor at Goulamina to ensure seamless information flow between site and border posts.

- Ensure trucks and drivers meet LMSA's minimum safety and operational standards, reporting any incidents or issues promptly.

- Produce daily reports of truck crossing activities and liaise with production teams to ensure correct product loading.

Requirements:

- At least 3 years of successful experience in Bulk Product Logistics, preferably in freight forwarding or a mining environment.

- Qualification in Freight Forwarding, Supply Chain, or Logistics.

- Knowledge of export documentation and relevant terms is essential.

- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and proficiency in French; fluency in English is desirable.

- Motorbike and car license preferable.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and previous experience with accounting software.

- Effective organizational and time management skills, with a proactive attitude towards problem-solving and collaboration.

- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with a commitment to building and retaining a strong team culture.
