Position Purpose:

As a Security Room Operator, you play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety, security, and operational control of our facilities. You'll be the guardian of our security systems and a critical part of our team in responding to emergencies, maintaining communication across departments, and upholding our security standards. Your vigilance will help us maintain a safe and efficient environment.

Major Responsibility Areas:

•  Monitor Security Systems: Keep a watchful eye on security systems like CCTV, alarms, and access control to ensure the safety of our personnel and facilities.
•  Emergency Response: Respond swiftly and effectively to alarms, emergencies, and incidents, coordinating with the necessary parties.
•  Incident Reporting: Document and report all security breaches and irregular activities, maintaining precise records.
• Access Control:Support the access control team by granting or denying access and preventing unauthorized entry.
• Communication: Keep an open line of communication with security personnel, supervisors, and relevant departments.
• Crisis Management: Assist during crises by guiding personnel and visitors and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
• Patrol and Inspection:  Maintain contact with patrol teams, inspect equipment, and address issues promptly.
• Documentation:  Keep detailed records, logs, and incident reports.
• Collaboration: Work closely with law enforcement and emergency services when needed.
• Training: Stay updated on security procedures and provide guidance to other staff.
• Maintain Confidentiality: Handle sensitive information with the utmost discretion.
• Risk Assessment:  Participate in security risk assessments to enhance our measures.
• Adherence to Policies: Ensure compliance with our security policies.
• Technology and Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain security technology and equipment.
• Visitor and Contractor Interaction: Interact with visitors, contractors, and direct them as needed.
• Troubleshooting:  Address security system issues promptly.

Position Holder Requirements:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar position
• Proficiency in both French and English
• Security Systems Operation Proficiency

• Effective Documentation
