Process Controller

Position Purpose:

The Process Controller plays a pivotal role in maximizing process control parameters efficiently to maintain and enhance production capacity and quality. This position encompasses a multifaceted responsibility, including organization, planning, execution of production targets, maintenance activities, and mentoring of Operators.

Line Management Responsibilities:

- Monitor designated areas of the process plant, accurately recording data as required by the production and metallurgy departments, including log sheets and downtime/standby time records.

- Conduct operational and prestart checks, liaise with other Processing Operators, and perform all assigned tasks to ensure optimal plant operation.

- Carry out all tasks directed by the Processing Supervisor in a timely manner and handle cross-departmental tasks as required.

- Actively participate in shift changeovers, ensuring all reporting requirements are completed along with an effective handover.

- Occasionally act in roles that work in parallel with the processing operations team, such as mining crews, laboratory, or technician.

- Participate in training to gain competence in operating procedures, safety systems, and environmental requirements through the processing career development plan.

Position Holder Requirements:

- Minimum 3 years demonstrated control room operational experience within a crushing and/or processing plant environment.

- Proficiency in computers, MS Office, and communication devices.

- Confidence in problem solving, multitasking, and managing conflicting priorities.

- The ability to perform physically demanding tasks with a good level of fitness.

- Demonstrated safety commitment.

- Confined Space with Gas Testing.

- Working at Heights.

- Comfortable completing company and mine site inductions and paperwork.

- Current Driver's License.

- Intermediate English an advantage.
