Vacancy Announcement: 30 Process Operators
Location: Goulamina, Mali
Reporting Relationship: Process Supervisor
Position Purpose:
The Process Operator plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the Process plant in Goulamina, Mali. Responsibilities include maintaining optimal grade, recovery, and cost of lithium concentrate production, while adhering to safety, environmental, and statutory guidelines. The role requires meticulous attention to plant operations, metallurgical recoveries, and efficient resource management.
Major Responsibility Areas:
- Operate the plant within pre-determined process parameters and control limits.
- Follow documented safe working procedures for plant and equipment operation.
- Contribute to the development of safe working procedures.
- Undertake hazard analysis for a safe working environment.
- Ensure timely reporting of all accidents and incidents.
- Participate in regular safety meetings and shift handovers.
- Identify maintenance requirements for plant and equipment.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping around the plant.
Corporate Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with legislative, regulatory, and statutory obligations.
- Provide executive and board-level reports.
- Conform to company policy and protocols.
- Undertake other responsibilities as reasonably required.
Position Holder Requirements:
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in mineral processing plants.
- Ability to work unsupervised on routine tasks.
- Physically fit with the ability to perform demanding tasks.
- High regard for safe working rules and procedures.
- Sound understanding of hazard identification.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Capable of effective communication and working with minimal supervision.
- Commitment, dedication, and hardworking attitude.
- Strong interest in performing exacting jobs with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Intermediate English proficiency is an advantage.
